wow. i can't believe i'm blogging just to teach passerby how to make chocolates. lol. this is seriously retarded.

passerby whoever you are, actually i do wanna know who you are (maybe you could drop me an email or something?), you had better be thankful eh? =p

okay. so i did the chocolates for cm using this 'recipe' (it can't be considered one as it isn't complete at all?) that i got from zafirah. =)

ingredients : chocolate (I used a bar of baking choclate, the size of a family cadbury bar), rice krispies (I barely used half a pack of the smallest box size of cereal available, it's the palm-sized one),and orange essence for flavor.

uh. so firstly you have to melt the chocolate but you can't do so over direct heat as the chocolate would burn, so you have to place the chocolate in a bowl and then get another bowl filled with hot water and place the bowl, with the chocolates into it, to allow the heat from the water to melt it.

so while the chocolate is melting, i go on to do the fillings for the chocolate- by mixing the rice krispies with the adequate amount of orange essence. This one has to be carefully done as too much of the essence would result in the krispies tasting really bitter. *actually for this batch of chocolates, i think the filling tasted quite off (i tried it on its own) but cm said they were quite decent.. *oh well. if you try the krispies after you mixed it with the essence, it should taste weird and not bitter. if it tastes a little weird, that means you're on the right track.

i then leave the rice krispies by the side, and go back to my chocolate, stirring it to aid it in melting. When it's fully melted (smooth), i spoon it into my heart shaped moulds, till it's about half way filled. then i put abit of rice krispies into the centre and fill the mould up with more chocolate mixture.

Yeah. so that's my version of Zafirah's chocolates.

By right, you're supposed to leave the chocolate outside in room temperature for it to harden, this way it would not melt as easy, but for me, being impatient at all, i just chucked it all into the fridge.

Oh, and for Zaf's version, she poured the chocolate mixture into tiny cupcake cases instead and decorated the top with sprinkles.

i fell in love with them at first bite.

some more handy information- i got my heart shaped moulds from NTUC Fairprice, it's a tray and there are 8 heart shaped moulds on it. it also comes in a pack with 9 red foils for you to wrap up your chocolates when you're done. More of such decorative foils can be purchased from Daiso.

yeah. so that's the end of my cooking entry.

**puts on my martin yan accent** If sara can cook, so can you! =p

haha. hope the above helps. Good luck!
