Hope everyone had a blast over the Christmas and New Year holidays! i know i did :) May the year 2010 bring us all more luck, love and money! ;) Note to self:- Here's my list of to-dos to kick start the year... 1) 2) Tohoku photos 3) Update lovetreats with recipes of chocolate chip cookies, brownies and if mood permits, cake truffles 4) Update blog with tohoku trip, shing's birthday, boxing day lunch 5) 6) Collect mom's watch on Tuesday 7) Organise closet 8) Tidy up notes 9) 10) Hopefully i'll be updating this space soon! today we finally got to trying these machines out! we always walked by, laughing at those goons who would spend so much money just to kiap toys... but today was a different story, we saw this guy catch a stitch! in like just 3 attempts! i think that kinda inspired cm, so he decided to try too! and voila! in just 4 tries, i've got a new stitch stuffed toy!!  the whole process was so fun! haha. and i must say, quite addictive! now i understand why those people would rather catch their stuffed toys rather than buying from the store. there's this added sense of satisfaction and you really have to try it to understand!thanks for the stitch, hun! i love it so! :) life's been kinda dull recently, hopefully the trip to japan will help make up for the lack of entries! oh and also i started a new blog, to help keep track of all my lil messes in the kitchen. do support lovetreats ! |

Treats from Cedele! I walked past the window where they displayed all these lovely pies and beautifully decorated cupcakes and i knew that i just had to get some!! I had a tough time deciding.. but i ended up with..... Lemon Meringue Pie + Banana Lemon Burst Cupcake!  delish and oh-so-pretty!Loved the cupcake -it was very moist with bits of banana in it! Can't say much for the icing though, would prefer it if the lemon flavor was stronger. :p i'm still goin through a phase for all things citrusy. The Lemon Meringue Pie on the other hand was gooood. I loved that the meringue top was sweeter so it really complements the tart-ness of the lemon curd! Really adore the texture of meringue against the soft lemon curd. Made a batch of Lemon Cupcakes this weekend! First attempt and can safely say it went quite okay.. Simple icing made with just some lemon juice and zest..i just love the colours.  don't you find the process of cooking/baking/looking at good pictures of food extremely therapeutic? when i'm done messing about - i actually feel motivated to start on work!how does designerwhorecooks.blogspot sound? ;p Labels: Bakes |

i dunno about you, but i love the feeling of clean, fresh skin.. in the morning after i wake up, before i head to bed at night. without a speck of make up... feels soo, comfy and free. what say you? |
chilled at our usual starbucks, with our Caramel Macchiato-s, waiting for the later people to stream in..
it was mainly army talk the whole way through - 2 proud boys who just POP-ed, 1 heading in 2 days later and the other in Oct. I found it extremely amusing, being able to compare their experiences with those of cm's..and to see how much they've changed after NS
loved the crust, it wasnt too dry and hard. quite like the tangy custard too.
Habez left earlier on, but we still included him in all our pics!

it also made me realise how much i want a nice cam for my food photog!
